Dine if you dare.

Huashan Mountain is a 2.5 hour drive from Xi’an, and it is one of five sacred mountains in China. It is known for its dangerous cliffs and plunging ravines. Not surprisingly, it is the most dangerous mountain in China for climbers. However, if climbers somehow manage to reach the very top, they earn the privilege to dine for free at the hilltop restaurant.

1. Take the tram up to the start of the trail.

2. Follow the path.

3. Remember to hold onto the railing for your dear life.

4. Watch out for the people in front of you, and be careful of people who are going in the opposite direction of you when they’re descending the mountain.

5. Take a few steps.

6. Watch out now. It gets a little steeper, so keep your toes in the holes.

Abseiling, or rappelling, is not your average rock climbing experience. It is just you, a rope, and a very long drop.
